L.A.’s BNS Bridges Heart and Hustle with “KING OF HEARTS”

Some artists chase the spotlight; others, like BNS, develop their own path. Known in the graffiti world as ARESone CBS, the Los Angeles native has been immersed in hip-hop long before stepping behind a mic. His journey from tagging trains and producing beats to founding rock and punk bands has shaped a sound that’s both raw and refined. In 2025, BNS is ready to reveal the next chapter: a debut album rooted in authenticity, dedication, and love for the craft.

Setting the Tone with “KING OF HEARTS” and Upcoming “Sunshine and Rainbows”

BNS’ newest single, “KING OF HEARTS” and forthcoming “Sunshine and Rainbows,” will set the tone for what’s to come. “KING OF HEARTS” reintroduces BNS as a lyrical force and a master of wordplay and rhythm who pays homage to old school styles while elevating them for a new generation. “It’s about ruling over my flow without needing explicit language to make an impact,” he explains. Beyond music, the title carries deep meaning. The “KING OF HEARTS” persona represents generosity and service and is a reflection of his commitment to give back.

Meanwhile, “Sunshine and Rainbows” shows the vulnerable side of BNS. What started as a line from his son during boxing training, “It’s not gonna be all sunshine and rainbows in here, Dad,” evolved into a heartfelt anthem about struggle and resilience. With Ashtyn Bernard’s soulful chorus floating over melancholic piano chords, the track captures life’s duality: darkness and light, loss and growth, heartbreak and hope. “It’s a dark song filled with pain that ends in motivation,” BNS says. “It reminds you that the only way is toward the light.”

The Creative Process Behind the Music

BNS’s creative process is meticulous. He started his album by building 37 beats, then spent months refining his rhymes before layering in instruments, from keys to strings to turntables. The result is a project packed with energy, inspiration, and grit. “Legends aren’t born, they’re created within,” he declares.

Staying True to the Underground & Building a Legacy

For BNS, hip-hop is a lifestyle built on history. “The boom bap is what resonates in my soul,” he says, referencing his L.A. roots and deep connection to the underground. From the rattle of a spray can to the scratch of a DJ needle, his influences are woven into every bar. He refuses to chase trends, choosing instead to create art that honors the foundation of the culture while pushing it forward.

Having spent years working alongside icons and underground veterans alike, BNS steps into this new era on his own terms. His debut album stands as a culmination of decades of work, dedication, and creativity. “Hip-hop raised me,” he says. “Now it’s my turn to give something real back.”
