It was a mini One Direction reunion at Zayn Malik's concert this week when he gave a surprise shoutout mid-show to Louis Tomlinson.

On Wednesday (January 29), Tomlinson took time to see his pal and former bandmate during Malik's Stairway to the Sky tour stop at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles during his first-ever solo tour. Malik didn't let this go unnoticed and made sure to show his appreciation toward his "old friend" for his support, per People.

"Tonight is kind of special. An old friend of mine is here supporting me tonight," he said to the audience, motioning toward a balcony area of the venue. "He's sitting somewhere here. I don't want to give his location away, but Louis is here tonight."

Following the shoutout, Tomlinson was seen patting his chest over his heart to show his gratitude, but the brotherly love didn't stop there as the "Pillowtalk" singer went on to dedicate two songs to Tomlinson, "What I Am" and "Alienated." The pair also reportedly left together after the end of the concert.

Tomlinson's appearance at Malik's show comes months after the pair reunited with fellow 1D alums Harry Styles and Niall Horan for their "brother" Liam Payne's funeral following his tragic death at age 31 on October 16, 2024. Malik had previously postponed the U.S. leg of his tour amid the "heartbreaking" loss, which was set to kick off October 23. During his first show after Payne's funeral, he paid tribute to his late friend with a touching message on stage.
