YFN Lucci has finally been released from prison after serving four years behind bars.

The Atlanta rapper walked out of Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Friday, January 31 a year after he was sentenced. He previously pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act. Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, was sentenced to 20 years with 10 years probation. He received time served after he turned himself in January 2021 and remained in custody ever since. Lucci will have to serve the rest of his sentence on supervised release with specific conditions.

The "Everyday We Lit" rapper was indicted along with a dozen other alleged gang members in May 2021. He was charged with murder after police accused him of being the driver in a 2020 drive-by shooting that claimed the life of 28-year-old Atlanta native James Adams. As part of his plea deal, prosecutors dropped the other 12 of 13 counts against him.

Lucci went through a lot while he was locked up. In 2022, the 33-year-old artist claimed he was stabbed by a fellow inmate during a fight. He was reportedly attacked by a man who used a homemade shank to stab him while he was on the phone. Officers inside the jail tried to diffuse the fight by using tasers. Lucci survived and the man was charged with aggravated assault and battery.

Fans might get some new music from YFN Lucci now that he's free. Shortly after his sentencing last year, the "Everyday We Lit" rapper dropped a couple of new songs like "Free Me" and "Date Night." It's possible Lucci could release more music in the coming weeks, especially with his 34th birthday coming up next month.

Welcome home YFN Lucci! Watch him greet his family on his first day out below.
