This gives a whole new meaning to "Baby, you're a firework." Katy Perry was almost struck by electrical sparks while signing autographs as shown by a new video making the rounds.

The video shows Perry backstage with fans while signing autographs after filming Jimmy Kimmel Live! when all of a sudden electrical sparks starting flying, and almost hit Katy. Apparently, according to reports, somebody accidentally touched a transformer as she made her way down the barricade. The "Firework" singer was seen ducking as sparks flew but appeared unharmed, however one fan's coat caught on fire, as per TMZ. See the video on X.

An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight of the ordeal, "She was fine. As soon as it sparked, they pulled her away and put her in the car. She rolled down the window and kept talking to fans."

Perry just announced her "Lifetimes" World Tour, which kicks off in the United States on May 7th in Houston, Texas, and makes stops in cities across the country including Chicago, Las Vegas, Austin, Phoenix, Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Nashville and more before wrapping up in Miami, Florida on August 23rd.

In a brand new video shared to her Instagram, Perry shared some details on what fans can expect from the tour, including an infinity stage to reflect "Lifetimes," an idea that came to her after she "saw the light" — an actual light fixture in her hotel room.
