OG Maco's estate and producer Kino Beats teamed up to drop a fresh posthumous project just days after the rapper's death.
On Tuesday, December 31, Kino Beats released his and the late artist's new collaborative effort Legends Live Forever 2. The project comes with 11 brand-new tracks executive produced by the world-renowned beatmaker. It's the sequel to the duo's 2019 project Legends Live Forever. Kino shared the project with the blessing of OG Maco's family, who called it a "tribute to his legacy and a way to keep his spirit alive.
"This release is dedicated to the fans who have supported him through every chapter of his journey," the family said.
All proceeds from the project are set to go directly to OG Maco's family. Maco's estate thanked Kino Beats for making the project and confirmed they are working on a full-length album that will honor the late artist's life and career. The "U Guessed It" rapper, born Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr., passed away last week after suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was only 32.
"His life was a testament to resilience, creativity, and boundless love," his family said after he died. "Through his music, passion and unwavering spirit, he touched so many lives and left a lasting impact. While we grieve this immense loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived — one that will continue to inspire and uplift others. Maco's influence, both as an artist and a person, will remain forever etched in our hearts."
