Ice Spice will soon be on the silver screen with moviemaking legends behind her.

According to The Rolling Stone, the "Gangsta Boo" rapper will make her acting debut in director Spike Lee's upcoming film High and Low. She will star alongside Denzel Washington in the movie, which is being produced and developed by A24. The project is an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 crime thriller of the same name and will have a theatrical release before hitting the Apple+ streaming platform.

Apple Original Films dropped a teaser for the movie Wednesday (April 10), featuring a picture of Lee and Washington holding five fingers up at the camera. This also marks the first collaboration between the two Hollywood icons in nearly 20 years. The last film the director-actor duo worked on was Inside Man in 2006. High and Low will be their fifth film together.

Ice Spice has been busy with her highly-anticipated debut album as she starts crossing into the world of film. The "Munch" rapper dropped a huge hint about her Y2K album earlier this week, leaving fans speculating about the potential release date. The rising star also got candid about her creative process during the making of her album.

“Each song that I work on I really try to make it good enough to put out basically," Ice Spice said in a recent episode of Complex's "Hot Ones." "I don’t really skim through it real quick, I really take my time and I’m just like OK. Every time I work on a song basically, I’m like, ‘This is gonna be released.'”
