Christopher Mintz-Plasse, known for his iconic role as McLovin from the 2007 film Superbad, is engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Britt Bowman. The actor shared the exciting news on Instagram five days after he popped the question on Christmas Eve (December 24th).
"Life’s over!!!❤️❤️❤️" he wrote in the caption along with photos of the two kissing and showing off Bowman's new engagement ring. Fellow actors like Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore took to the comments to share congratulatory messages. "Awwww congrats!!!" wrote Alison Brie and Nicholas Braun commented, "I stan this relationship."
After sharing the news on Instagram, Mintz-Plasse went to Twitter to update fans on there too. "I told insta, so I guess I gotta tell all my pals over at Twitter," he wrote. "I’ve dug my own grave but at least I’ll be sharing it with my future wife!”
Bowman, who is a concert photographer, also shared her own photos of the happy moment on Instagram. "did a thing 💍12.24.22 ❤️❤️❤️🎉," she wrote on her post which also featured sweet photos of her family.
The two began dating in 2017, according to Page Six. Although they've kept their romance relatively lowkey, Mintz-Plasse has posted several heartwarming Instagram tributes for Bowman's birthday throughout the years. In 2018, the actor called Bowman "Literally the kindest person I've ever met."
Mintz-Plasse most recently starred in the coming-of-age comedy Honor Society which was released on Paramount+ in July. According to his Instagram bio, he's also been working on some music with a band called Colorvision.
