Lady Gaga Played Server For a Day at Her Dad's New NYC Restaurant

Lady Gaga may be an internationally known pop star, but that doesn't mean she's not going to support her family. Even when her family is opening a restaurant in New York City's Grand Central Station.

While in the Big Apple, the 28-year-old made a stop at Art Bird—the brand new fried chicken and whiskey bar her father opened in the bus/train station's food concourse. While Mother Monster ate her fair share of southern fare (she recommends the killer fried chicken sandwich), she also helped out behind the counter, serving up food and mixing up drinks in her own bright red Art Bird t-shirt.

While travelers were surely snapping pictures of the singer, she got some photos herself and posted them on Instagram.

"Had to stop at my dad’s new restaurant with @thechefartsmith. It’s called @artbirdnyc if you want killer fried chicken n’ more at Grand Central Station food concourse in NYC," she captioned a photo of her looking longing at a piece of fried chicken.

"Just in case @joannetrattoria is all booked up stop by @artbirdnyc Who knows I might even be serving!" she captioned one of her mixing a drink behind the bar.

Aside from Art Bird, Gaga's parents also own an Italian restaurant called Joanne's Trattoria. Like her album, Joanna, the restaurant is dedicated to her late aunt who passed away at a young age from lupus.

The "Born This Way" singer has been hard at work recording in NYC the past few weeks. Scottish electronic producer Sophie recently confirmed she's working on new music with Gaga, which means she must be getting back to her electronic pop roots. Hopefully we'll get to hear the fruits of their labor sooner rather than later.
